My husband and I had been struggling to conceive for a couple of years when we were told that we’d need IVF if we had any hopes of me becoming pregnant. I was diagnosed with a low AMH level and my husband also presented a male factor issue. The clinics we visited all spoke highly of acupuncture as a complementary therapy so I looked into whether there was anyone locally.
I came across Mo and I can’t express just how thankful I am that I did! The journey has been an absolute roller-coaster of heartache and financial and emotional stress, but throughout Mo has been my port in the storm. She has been the voice of calm, of knowledge and experience, a pair of sympathetic yet practical ears, and has been incredibly supportive throughout.
Unfortunately, due to a number of issues being identified as we went through each cycle (five in total) the IVF journey wasn’t a quick fix but I can honestly say that the acupuncture treatments really do work. There were a number of times that my lining was not deemed thick enough to move to the next stage, but within 24 hours of a treatment from Mo the thickness would increase to a level that even surprised the consultants on a number of occasions.
I would suffer from a lot of ‘heat’ in my system (constipation, headaches), mainly due to the medication I was on. Each time I had a treatment, these symptoms would ease for at least four days afterwards. Knowing I had the treatments booked in also took a lot of stress away – it was very important that I was doing something to help my body grow great eggs and be ready for transfer naturally.
Yes, it took a while, but I believe I wouldn’t be pregnant (and with twins!) today if it weren’t for the sessions with Mo. I can’t recommend her enough – the treatments are effective and the environment is great. I’m 17 weeks’ pregnant
and will continue to see Mo on a monthly basis until the twins are due – it’s even more important that I’m as healthy and fit as I can be now!
Thank you Mo. You’re a star

I started seeing Mo after being recommended to me by midwives at my local hospital. We had being trying to concieve our first child for 2 years and had so far been unsuccessful. I was waiting to be referred for fertility treatment. The first time I saw Mo she was really understanding and instantly made me feel at ease. I felt she was someone who could really help me get back on track. She made me feel relaxed about the acupuncture process and I was not anxious at all. I had previously had a couple of acupuncture sessions, but they had been painful and not relaxing at all. Mo was not like this at all, I felt really relaxed and she was gentle when putting in the needles, any that I wasnt comfortable with she adjusted them carefully. She also discused diet and other things that my husband and I could do to increase our chances of having a child. I saw Mo every other week and she was also very supportive during our IVF treatment. Unfortunately our two IVF attempts were unsuccsessful, however Mo focused on getting me back on track and getting my body to become a more suitable environment for a baby to grow. My husband and I decided to take a break from the IVF treatment and emotional stress of the whole process. However, I was estactic to discover that I was pregnant. I only checked because I was going to see Mo that evening, she was the first one I told! She used safe points throughout my pregnancy and I completely believe that the acupuncture has helped my pregnancy progress as smoothly as it has so far.I have not had any morning sickness or other of the unpleasant pregnancy symptoms that many women go through. I have just been able to enjoy being pregnant. I will continue to see Mo throughout my pregnancy and afterwards as the benefits have been so noticable. Towards the end of my pregnancy Mo has spent time with both my husband and myself to help teach us acupressure points that will help relieve pain in labour. Mo has always been accomodating with appointments and has been so supportive throughout our fertility journey, my husband and I are so lucky and cannot wait to meet our baby really soon.

FERTILITY & PREGNANCY
After being diagnosed with Premature Ovarian insufficiency (premature menopause) in November 2021 at the age of 35, I wanted to do anything I could to improve my health and increase my chances of conceiving.
I was lucky enough to find Mo online and within a week of my diagnosis I had my first appointment with her. I went to that appointment with feeling scared, confused and worried; I had been given very little information about my condition from my doctor and also no ideas about how best to manage by physical wellbeing.
After that first session I left feeling the best I had felt since my diagnosis. Not only did the acupuncture itself relax and calm me, the knowledge that Mo was able to share with me meant I was empowered to find new ways to support my overall wellbeing.
Mo is very knowledgeable about female fertility and the western medical approach, but also has knowledge about how you can support your health holistically. She gave me so many ideas for books, techniques, supplements and more.
When I came to Mo I hadn't had a period for 5 months, but within less than two months of seeing her my period returned and some of my blood work came back down within normal range.
I can't imagine how things would be for me now if I hadn't found Mo. I am continuing to see her now that I have started my IVF journey.

We started seeing Mo for acupuncture about 2.5 years ago.
I remember clearly sitting in her office reading the testimonials of previous patients and knowing that one day I would write one.
Both myself and my boyfriend attended appointments with Mo.
Age was our biggest hurdle, I was 44 when we started working with Mo, but also I had under active thyroid and although under control, wasn’t being monitored by anyone in relation to fertility.
My cycle was regular and it was fine in terms of length at 26 days. But once we started to
Monitor it closely with Mo we discovered that the first half of my cycle was short at only 11 days, so my eggs were not very mature at the time of ovulation. Plus shortly after ovulation I was experiencing temperature dips, coinciding with spotting.
Working with Mo has been an education, she has shared so much of her knowledge to help support with changing so for these issues.
From what to eat, what to avoid, to keeping my feet warm. Things you would never imagine could impact on your egg quality or overall fertility.
The acupuncture helped to support lengthening the first have of my cycle by 3 days. I also over time saw my temperatures remain high in the second half of my cycle and I stopped spotting.
After a year we had a positive test, but we quickly discovered this was a bio-chemical pregnancy.
It was both a blow but also positive for us. We had already made an appointment to discuss fertility options with the Agora clinic. The bio-chemical pregnancy allowed to progress with an option that would not have been available to us before that happened.
At this time we discovered that I only had 3 follicles, compared to an average of 7 for women of my age. So they felt that standard IVF was not an option for us.
We were able to undertake a version of IUI. Basically taking the clomid to stimulate eggs for ovulation. We would have 6 attempts at this.
We started this in February 2021. We decided not take the clomid every month as the ovulation stimulation was quite painful.
After the second attempt Mo suggested I also asked to be put on progesterone, as I was seeing a temperature dip in the second half of my cycle again.
I started taking progesterone in the second half of my cycle every month, whether it was a clomid month or not. We tried 5 cycles with clomid, without success.
We fell pregnant in my October cycle, it was also a natural cycle, I hadn’t taken the clomid since the August.
I continued to see Mo throughout my first trimester. The acupuncture was a godsend for the morning sickness, but it was also an opportunity to continue to get Mo’s amazing advice and experience. She was also great at helping to make sure my thyroid was top of the agenda and monitored all my blood tests.
As we moved into the second semester I experienced some bleeding, it was very stressful and the acupuncture definitely helped with this.
At week 20 I was informed I had something called a friable cervix, basically a sensitive cervix, which when aggravated was causing the bleeding.
This was not going to impact the baby or the pregnancy and it was a relief to know what was causing the bleeding as this was most days.
I continued to see Mo to support this and the acupuncture helped. The bleeding reduced and became intermittent.
We had elected for an induction at 39 weeks and ahead of this I was scheduled for a sweep. I had the first sweep on the Friday followed by an acupuncture session with Mo. I had a second sweep on the Monday and whilst it did not bring on labour itself there had been some progress with my cervix opening meaning that it was prime for the induction.
Our baby boy was born on Wednesday 14th July 2022. We feel so blessed and so fortunate that we discovered Mo and we were able to work with her on our fertility and conception journey. Without Mo, her advice and her acupuncture I am not sure this would have happened for us. We would like to try for a second baby and will continue to work with Mo to support that
